The Rules of the Game
The Green Area
The player can handle, kick or head the ball. The player is not allowed to score into the wingers’ (those on either side of him/her) goalposts from the green area. See exception below.
The Yellow Area
The player can head the ball into all goalposts to include the wingers’ posts.
The Red Area, also known as the interceptor Area
The player can kick or head into the goalposts of the last ball contact (the last kicker or header). Wingers of the kicker are not allowed to intercept the ball. The first choice to interceptor is the player who forced the situation, and again no wingers are allowed. Option two is the player directly opposite if option one can’t get there in time.
Length Of Play
45 minutes on the pitch or an agreed score line before the game starts. Time can be set at less than the 45 minutes if it is a knockout game and there are many players. At the agreed time the one with the lowest score leaves the pitch for someone else.
45 minutes on the track around the pitch. This area can be used for running, rope skipping, press ups and sit ups.
The total play time is 90 minutes. The pitch is booked for one hour. This gives time for swapping players both on the pitch and on the track. The first 5 minutes is to leave or enter the pitch and the next 10 minutes for warm up.
